Circular Economy & Whole Life Carbon

Analysis of the embodied energy and carbon impact of a building from design and construction to operation and end of life.

A low impact future requires in-depth analysis of every step of a building’s journey from design through to end of life.

With over 400 million tonnes of material consumed in the UK every year, there is a serious need for sympathetic design and implementation. The UK construction industry alone accounts for 21 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, largely as a result of material production. We’re aiming to change this by providing technical ideas on low impact materials and forward-thinking design strategies.

We’re able to signpost the best materials at an early stage and draw on advanced modelling to inform specifications. By collaborating closely with design teams from the start, we can explore flexible alternatives which optimise end of life value.
